The Return of Quacee Flames : New Single " Love Magician " Drops March 20   The music scene is about to get a lot more magical. After a silence that lasted nearly a year and a half, Ghanaian artist Quacee Flames is officially stepping back into the spotlight. Fans who have been wondering about the artist behind the hits have a date to mark on their calendars: March 20, 2026. Quacee Flames has been a notable name in the fusion and afro-fusion space for years. Known for his ability to blend raw emotion with infectious rhythms, he first made waves with his 2021 EP Flames of Love , featuring fan favorites like " Drive Me Crazy " and " Nuella ." He followed that momentum with the Genesis EP in 2023 and collaborations like " Low Key " and the "Batman" remix. Yesterday’s Big Announcement: 68th Annual Grammy Awards Nominations

On November 7, 2025, the Recording Academy revealed the full list of nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards, set to take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The announcement has stirred conversations worldwide from the dominance of big U.S. names to the rise of African talent.

 Top-Nominees and Big Names

Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with nine nominations, the most of any artist this year.

Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut each picked up seven nominations.

Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter earned six nominations each, further proving how Latin and pop continue to shape global music.

This year’s mix of rap, pop, and global sounds shows the Grammys’ growing openness to diverse artistry.

African Spotlight — Nigeria Shines, Ghana Misses Out

One of the most talked-about parts of the announcement came from the African music categories.

Nigerian stars like Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Tems all received nominations in categories such as Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Album  showing how Nigeria continues to dominate the continent’s global music representation.

Sadly, no Ghanaian artist made it to this year’s nomination list. Despite strong projects from talents like Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, and King Promise, the Grammys spotlight skipped Ghana this time. Many fans online have expressed disappointment, arguing that Ghanaian music deserves more global attention.

Still, it’s a reminder of how competitive and unpredictable the Grammys’ global categories can be  and how much more visibility and promotion African artists outside Nigeria may need to gain recognition.
