Ghanaian singer-songwriter Moliy has hit a massive career milestone, securing two nominations for the 2026 MOBO Awards. The announcement, which came on January 15, sees the "Wondergirl" star recognized in both the Best African Music Act and the highly coveted Best International Act categories. This double nod places her in elite company, reflecting her incredible growth and the global appeal of her distinct Afro-fusion sound.  

In the Best African Music Act category, Moliy is up against a "who’s who" of the continent’s biggest stars, including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema, Davido, and Tyla. However, it is her nomination for Best International Act that has fans buzzing; she is rub-shouldering with global icons like Cardi B, Gunna, Kehlani, and Vybz Kartel. Being the only Ghanaian female artist in these specific categories this year highlights her position as one of the country’s most important musical exports.  

The 2026 MOBO Awards are set to be a historic event, marking the 30th anniversary of the organization. For the first time, the ceremony will head to Manchester, taking place at the Co-op Live arena on March 26, 2026. As Moliy prepares for the big night, these nominations serve as a powerful start to her year, cementing her status as a force to be reckoned with on the world stage.
