| Landlord in London: Sarkodie Sells Out Royal Albert Hall and Announces 2027 O2 Arena Takeover |
LONDON, UK — In a historic night for African Hip-Hop, Sarkodie cemented his "Landlord" status by becoming the first African rapper to sell out the iconic Royal Albert Hall for the UK debut of his Rapperholic Exhibition. Held on March 6, 2026—Ghana’s 69th Independence Day—the 5,200-capacity venue was transformed into a celebration of Ghanaian culture and musical excellence.
The evening was packed with high-profile guest appearances, including UK rap titans Stormzy and Headie One, who surprised the crowd to perform "Cry No More." The stage also saw electrifying sets from King Promise, Lasmid, KiDi, and Nigeria’s Flavour. However, the most talked-about moment of the night belonged to Efya. During her performance of "Saara" and "I’m In Love With You," the songstress revealed her baby bump to the public for the first time, confirming her pregnancy to a roaring London crowd.
Sarkodie used the momentum of the sold-out show to make his most ambitious announcement yet. Before the curtains closed, he officially confirmed that Rapperholic UK 2027 will move to the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena on March 6, 2027. This coincides with Ghana’s milestone 70th Independence anniversary, setting the stage for what could be the largest solo concert ever headlined by a Ghanaian artist in Europe.
